'Counting On's Jinger Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo are expecting their first child

Congrats are in order for Counting On's Jinger Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo — they're expecting their first child!

The happy couple shared the news via social media and their website Wednesday, calling the announcement "exciting news!"

"The past fourteen months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage," the couple wrote. "Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: we are expecting our first child! We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy."

Coming from the family of devout Baptists from TLC's 19 Kids and Counting reality series, the parents-to-be ended their blog post with a bible verse, Psalm 139:13-14.

"For you formed my inward parts / you knitted me together in my mother’s womb./ I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made./ Wonderful are your works; / my soul knows it very well," the passage reads.

Jinger, 24, and Jeremy, 30, were engaged in July 2016. 

This isn't the first grandchild for Jinger's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

The famous family count 9 grandchildren and 19 children.

TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting in 2015 following the sexual abuse scandal involving Josh Duggar, the eldest child. The series's spin-off, Counting On, features storylines focused on the other, older Duggar children.
