Elysia M. LeBeau, 21, passed away on September 29, 2023.

The incomparable miss Elysia Melanie LeBeau was born on April 5, 2002 in New Bedford, MA. She lived in Massachusetts, Bristol, RI, Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA, and in Remsen and Utica, NY. She attended high school at Remsen Central School but spent the majority of her high school years, and graduated from, Mt. Hope High School. More importantly, Elysia, more commonly known as Lese, or Lyssie, loved, and was loved in all of those places.

Elysia was full of life, not afraid to be her authentic self, and brought a smile and a sparkle to every room she entered. Her big personality, colorful fashion sense, and awe-inspiring musical talents were beyond words. From the time that she was a toddler, Elysia never operated at anything below a ten, whether it be in her music, the way she loved, or the way she played, she gave her all.

Elysia is greatly missed by her parents, Kevin Brown, Lori Hall and William Hamilton; grandparents, Jacqueline Brown, Laura Mortagua and Donna Hamilton; siblings, Shauna and John Pratti, Brenden LeBeau and Karlie Grenicko-Haman, Kyrian Hall, Jameson Hamilton and Elisha Hamilton; aunts and uncles, Melanie Brown Warrenfeltz and Gregory Warrenfeltz, Robert and Stephanie Brown, Sandra and Kevin Fraga, Diane and Michael Hall and Alfred Brazil; great aunts and uncles, Debra Lee, Cheryl Timms, Denise Pickersgill, David Pickersgill and Crystal Pickersgill; nieces, Charlotte and Monica Pratti, Amarah and Kyarah LeBeau; “nephew”, Jackson Frazier; cousins, David and Jessica Brown, Camille Marie, Carter Campbell, Jenni Crader, Hannah and Sophia Fraga; and an overwhelming number of second and third cousins who she also counted as aunts, uncles and friends. In addition to her large biological family, Elysia had an extremely large group of people in her life who were family without the biological or legal ties, but family nonetheless. There are far too many to name but we know that she will be deeply missed by them as well.

While those of us here on Earth are mourning our loss, it is a small comfort to know that Elysia was welcomed to her afterlife by her grandfather Robert Brown, grandfather Douglas Stutz, grandfather John Jones, great-grandmother Carol Lundrigan, great-grandmother Frances Woods, and “auntie” Bernice McAlevey.

Elysia’s family invites all who knew her, no matter how briefly, and anyone who knows her family, to join them for a party to celebrate the joy and the love that she brought into all of our lives. They ask that you wear your happiest clothes- bright colors, sparkles and sequins, tutus, etc. The party will take place at 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at PiNZ Bowl, 8555 Seneca Turnpike, New Hartford, NY 13413.

Calling hours will be at Ackley-Mills Funeral Home, 9597 Main St, Remsen, NY 13438 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, October 7, 2023. A service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 am. For an online message of sympathy please go to www.millsfuneralhomes.com.
