Robert B. Catell,
Founder and Chairman

Mr. Catell has over 60 years of experience in the utility industry. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Brooklyn Union Gas Company and KeySpan Corporation before retiring as Chairman of National Grid, PLC’s United States operations. Mr. Catell serves as Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center at Stony Brook University and as Chair and President of the National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium. He is former Chairman of the New York State Smart Grid Consortium and served on the Board of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. Mr. Catell holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree, both in Mechanical Engineering, from the City College of New York.
