How do you turn heads during your first trip to the Oscars? If you’re Victoria’s Secret angel Lais Ribeiro, it’s all about old Hollywood charm. The Brazilian beauty chose a look that channeled the mystique of stars such as Rita Hayworth and Dorothy Dandridge for Elton John’s annual Oscar viewing party. In a column gown by August Getty and a stunning diamond covered Bulgari necklace, Riberio looked as though she’d stepped out of a classic film. She enlisted her glam squad—stylist Cary Robinson, makeup artist Marco De Souza, and hair stylist Martin Christopher Harper—to create a look brimming with vintage allure. Riberio was amongst the evening’s superstar standouts and her getting ready process was exactly as fun as one would expect. Prepping for the evening with hot chocolate, a hearty breakfast, and of course a few goodies from VS, Ribeiro got into the spirit of the evening. Here, the star takes Vogue behind the scenes.
