TMZ, the Daily Mail, and People all need to step aside: Legendary sitcom creator Norman Lear has apparently scooped you all. In an interview with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris for EW, Lear casually revealed that Walker, who’s best known for playing the “dy-no-mite!” J.J. on Good Times, is dating conservative firebrand Coulter. “I love him; he’s a wonderful guy,” Lear told Barris. “But I’ll tell you something about him that’ll astound you: He dates Ann Coulter.” As Barris, like any reasonable person, is somewhat shocked by this news, Lear goes on to explain that he once sat with Walker and Coulter at dinner and that she turned out to be “a dreamy, delicious, sweet person.” He insists that this has been going on “for some time.”
While Lear’s insistence that Coulter and Walker are dating is new, rumors about the pair certainly aren’t. Coulter herself insisted that she was not dating Walker in a HuffPost Live back interview in 2013. “We are dates,” Coulter says in response to a picture of two together at a TV Land Awards dinner (they attended the event together in 2007, 2010, and 2016). “He is so hilarious, so I see him a lot when I’m in L.A. But we are not technically dating.” In the interview, Coulter also jokes that Walker’s the one spreading that rumor.
