Katherine Jenkins has penned a beautiful tribute to lost loved ones. The Welsh singer shared photos with her 130,000 followers on Instagram paying special mention to two people "taken too soon".

Her tributes were to her close friend Polly Noble who died in 2014 after a long battle with cancer and her brother-in-law Gavin Johnson, who passed away three years ago. She wrote: "Sending birthday wishes to heaven today, my darling Polly. I literally feel you smiling down on us. And thinking too of my brother in law Gavin who also should be celebrating another year today. Taken too soon but always in our thoughts."

Katherine is recognised as the biggest selling classical artist of the century with 14 number one albums across her illustrious career. She has toured the world, performing in some of the most iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Opera House in Sydney.

She has recently branched out in a new direction and is now behind a new brand of gin called Cygnet, which she launched at Cardiff's John Lewis store last month when she told WalesOnline how her 'hero' dad had inspired her move into the drinks market.

But the Neath-born singer is still putting her music first and will perform in Swansea on November 25. Called the 'Home for Christmas' concert, it will feature a live orchestra, band and special guests. You can secure your tickets by clicking here.
