Very easy to clean, and the silicone tips makes it so you can stir on nonstick pans without the chance of scratching it.

These tongs are great for everything from salads to BBQ.

The 3 sizes comes in handy for different purposes.  The large is good for tossing salads, or for use with large items in a fry pan.  I most use the medium and small sizes.  While these have a "ring" on the end of the locking slide to hang the tongs, the hole is too small other than for small-diameter hooks.  I have lots of split key rings, so I simply added one to each tong to let me hang on larger hooks.  They silicone ring provides an edge and some bulk allowing one-handed operation to push out the locking slide, but is a bit clumsy yet comes in handy when your other hand is already occupied.  Of course, with the silicone ring, you could safely use your teeth to pull on the locking slide.

Have not had these long enough to check if they rust at the hinge, or anywhere else.  These replaced old tongs that kept rusting at the hinge joint (because the rivet was not stainless steel), and also at the tong ends.  If I soaked them to make easier later washing, they rusted.  With these being stainless steel, maybe they can soak a night without rusting (but even stainless steel rusts yet these are polished).   Don't know what material for the springs inside.

My old ones had metal tips.  Had to be careful using them with teflon coated pans, but not with the new ones.  Because of the silicone tips, I can even use them as toaster tongs.  However, because of the silicone tips, I'll have to remember to not leave them in the pan while still cooking as I suspect they would melt or burn.

These feel comfortable in my hands, not like my old ones that were simply bent heavy-gauge wire that could roll while gripped even with the rubber-dipped handles.  I'm more secure when gripping these new tongs.

These went on my wishlist to buy again.  When I get enough other items to get free shipping, I'll add another order for these.
