WaterAid Bangladesh in collaboration with International Training Network Centre, BUET (ITN-BUET) and International Water Association (IWA) is organising the International training and exposure visit 2024 on Urban rainwater harvesting system. Rainwater harvesting system (RWHS) provides a cost-effective and practical nature-based solution to address the emerging water crisis due to climate change and rapid population growth in urban context. Many initiatives and programmes have recently been promoting rainwater harvesting systems in urban and industrial buildings. Practitioners, planners, academicians, industrialists, students, researchers, and policymakers working on water and environmental issues need to be sensitised and capacitated on rainwater harvesting systems to tackle the water crisis and ensure future water security.

This 4-day long residential training and exposure visit will take place in Dream Square Resort, Gazipur and ITN-BUET, Dhaka from 02-05 March 2024. Engineers, architects, environmentalists, industrialists, urban planners, academicians, policymakers and development practitioners from relevant field are eligible to apply for the training. Female and young professionals are encouraged to apply.
