Trajan Langdon to become New Orleans Pelicans General Manager
The New Orleans Pelicans have hired Trajan Langdon as team general manager.NBA sources confirmed the news to WDSU Sunday morning.Langdon was hired by new team executive vice president David Griffin.When hired in April, Griffin was given complete control of basketball operations by team owner Gayle Benson and during his introductory media conference said, "we'll be hiring the best people possible."Langdon is a former star player at Duke University who graduated with a degree in mathematics. He went on to have a long career playing basketball overseas before returning to the NBA as a scout and executive.He spent the last two seasons as the Brooklyn Nets assistant general manager.Griffin and Langdon worked together in Cleveland from 2015-2016. Langdon was the director of player administration and basketball operations for the Cavaliers and Griffin was the general manager.
