WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Students at UNCW put on their best business attire in an effort to "Outdress the Competition" during the 8th annual Dress for Success Fashion Show.

Each year the Communication Studies Society hosts a fashion show to teach students how to differentiate themselves during interviews.

"A professional wardrobe is essential during an interview in order to make a lasting visual impression," said co-coordinator Rachel Kaylor.

This year's show was based on the popular television show "Survivor."

UNCW student models showed off their business professional and business casual attire on the island themed catwalk, featuring clothes provided by Men's Wearhouse, White House | Black Market and Belks.

The Dress for Success Fashion Show is part of the annual Communication Studies Day, an event to celebrate the discipline, hosted by the department.
