PRODUCTION
Grapes are individually hand picked and carefully pressed before being cold fermented in a small stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures.

VINEYARD
Vines for Nebel grow along the rolling hills of the Rhine River in loess soil (windblown silt with sand and some clay). The Rheinhessen enjoys relatively cool climatic conditions, where the long ripening period allows Riesling grapes to develop their fine, fruity aromas in the late autumn sunshine.

TASTING NOTE
This aromatic Riesling shows bright citrus and floral notes on the nose. On the palate, white peach and grapefruit flavors abound. A hint of sweetness is matched perfectly by green apple-like acidity leading up to a clean, honeyed finish.

FOOD PAIRING
A very versatile style. Try pairing with spicy Asian, Tex-Mex and Cajun foods, and lighter preparations of fish, pork and chicken. Enjoy with green salads, ceviche or sushi.

Rheinhessen wines are described by some as being soft, fragrant, medium-bodied and mild in acidity which makes them very pleasant and easy to drink.  But the region also produces wines of great class and elegance, with a depth and complexity that can compare to other wines both in Germany and internationally.

Rheinhessen is the largest wine-producing region in Germany with more than 25000 hectares of land dedicated to the production of selected wines. Winemaking in the Rheinhessen wine region has been carried out since the time of Roman occupation; that is why this area is home to the oldest German vineyards. The best vineyards in the area are along the steep banks of the Rhine River, which is called the Rheinterrasse. Rheinhessen wine region is also considered an area of luscious landscapes, which one can experience in many unique ways such as hiking the wild trails, biking along the river, or taking a guided tour through beautiful gardens. 
Rheinhessen wine region is located in the south of Rheingau, north of Pfalz and east of Nahe, within the Rhineland-Palatinate federal state. 
The land of Rheinhessen is particularly fertile thanks to the hilly landscape, bordered to the west by the Nahe River and to the northeast by the Rhine River. Local winemakers are known for experimenting with various grape varieties and wine production methods.

The region produces a significantly higher amount of white wines and uses a diverse variety of grapes. Müller-Thurgau and Riesling are however the most planted varieties in this region accounting for more than 30 per cent of the total vineyard. The most widely planted red variety is Dornfelder. Other important grape varieties grown here are Silvaner, Grauburgunder, and Spatburgunder.
