Upright stems, more numerous stems in cluster with age and health of plant; blooms late-spring;
Leaves:   Leaves fleshy, grayish-green, divided several times, rounded edges
Flowers: Few flowers, near top of stem; 5 dark reddish-purple petals with yellow edges, 5 similarly colored sepals
Habitat:   Grows in open meadows, edges of woodlands
Range:    May be found in Washington, Oregon and Idaho
