Description

A silvery-green, hairy sub-shrub of the western Mediterranean.

Flowers

Purple and white narrow cylindrical flowerheads, single or between 2-4. Lower flower-bracts green, becoming red at the apex.

Leaves

Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, pointed, dense, white-hairy beneath, entire, serrated or crenelated.
