When we were first setting the ground rules for ToM, Brownlee made it pretty clear that he didn't like photographs of furry animals. This is Malcontents, goddammit, not Cute Overload. But as I was fawning over this cuddly little sheep, I realized that it's totally okay to post because this bad boy is 15% human.

The Daily Mail reports:

The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells -
and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs beingtransplanted into humans one step closer.

Professor Esmail Zanjani, of the University of Nevada, hasspent seven years and £5million perfecting the technique, whichinvolves injecting adult human cells into a sheep's foetus.

The process would involve extracting stem cells from the donor's bonemarrow and injecting them into the peritoneum of a sheep's foetus. Whenthe lamb is born, two months later, it would have a liver, heart, lungsand brain that are partly human and available for transplant.

Obviously, this is a very bad idea. Pretty soon the sheep are going to mutate, become smarter than we are, and take over the world. Who wants that? Not me. Not the sheep. And certainly not the hybrid sheep's purebred sheep friends.
