You are admiring an incredible Marine Life specimen, a Prionocidaris baculosa (Lamarck, 1816) measuring a very large 168mm...a wondrous form featuring the most amazing spines & a fantastic coloration is displayed...a fascinating specimen . This beauty was collected by fishermen from deep H2O off Masbate Island, Philippines. A member of the Cidaridae family & becoming more difficult to acquire today which makes it an excellent addition for your Marine Life/Sea Urchin collection... & perfect for display purposes, too . Thank you for visiting our store this afternoon...and an excellent choice. ****Special Note: Sea Urchins and Crustacea are sent at the risk of the buyer. In case of breakage, loss of spines, etc...we do not/cannot replace. We pack each piece with the utmost care but, unfortunately Marine Life is very fragile. The Post Office is excellent...we rarely ever have a problem but, we want you to understand our position. The spines on this specimen are very fragile and I am almost positive you will need to repair a couple that will not make it through the shipping process...though, many times we are quite lucky & they arrive perfectly. However, they are very easy to repair with a little super glue and alot of patience, it will look good as new.
