(Cleveland)- Four people qualified Thursday for the May 21 General Primary Election in White County.

White County Elections Supervisor Amie Veater advised that Missy Jarrard, qualified for reelection as Chairman of the White County Board of Education, and John Estes, District One Board of Education member also qualified for reelection. There were two first-time qualifiers making their intentions known. Robert Morin, qualified to run for Sheriff of White County, and Chris Dorsey stepped forward to seek the Chairman of the White County Board of Commissioners seat.

All those candidates qualify with the Republican Party.

Today (Friday) is the final day prospective candidates can qualify for the open position in the county. Qualifying will run from 9 AM until Noon at the Elections and Voter Registration Office in the Mauney Building on the Helen Highway north of Cleveland.

Friday is the final day for voters to cast an advance in-person ballot for the March 12th Presidential Preference Primary. The voting location at the Election and Voter Registration Office in the Mauney Building, on the Helen Highway north of Cleveland. You can cast a ballot between 8 AM until 5 PM.  If you don’t cast an advance ballot all prescient locations in White County will be open 7 AM until 7 PM Tuesday, March 12.
