stepp by step solutionf or thsi problem
Marcelina uses a blend of white corn and yellow corn to make tortilla chips at her restaurant. She needs to buy 50\,\text{kg}50kg50, start text, k, g, end text of corn in total for her next order. White corn costs \$0.30$0.30dollar sign, 0, point, 30 per kilogram, yellow corn costs \$0.15$0.15dollar sign, 0, point, 15 per kilogram, and she wants to spend \$12$12dollar sign, 12 total.
Here's a graph that shows a system of equations for this scenario where xxx is the amount of white corn she buys and yyy is the amount of yellow corn she buys.

What does point DDD represent in this context?

Choose 1 answer:
- (Choice A)
- A
- Marcelina spends the intended amount of money and buys the intended amount of corn.
- (Choice B)
- B
- Marcelina spends the intended amount of money and buys more than the intended amount of corn.
- (Choice C)
- C
- Marcelina spends less than the intended amount of money and buys the correct amount of corn.
- (Choice D, Checked)
- D
- Marcelina spends less than the intended amount of money and buys less than enough corn.

This question is *really* difficult to read! Maybe you can type others without all the code in the future?
I wrote and graphed two equations for this situation, one for cost, and one for amount:
Cost: .15y+.3x=12
Amount: x+y=50
x is the amount of white corn, and y is the amount of yellow corn. The point where they meet is (30,20), which represents Marcelina's ideal purchase of 30 kg. of white corn and 20 of yellow, which add to 50 kg and cost $12.
The black point on the graph is at (10,40), and it's on the blue line.
The blue line is the one representing price: x + y = 50. Since the point is on the blue line, we know it meets the price condition, with a total of $12.
The point is BELOW the green line, which represents cost, so the amounts at point D do not total $12.
I believe the correct answer is C.
I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any questions.
Have fun mathing!
