Ringler, MD. He specializes in adult and pediatric trauma and fracture care, infections, osteomyelitis, amputations, nonunions, malunions, pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, periarticular fractures, and foot and ankle trauma. Dr. Ringler will care for patients at The CORE Institute’s north Phoenix clinic. Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Ringler cared for patients at the Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan for more than 20 years, according to a press release.
“I’ve had the opportunity to learn about The CORE Institute through its quick growth in Michigan and quickly realized that it is one of the most respected and innovative musculoskeletal groups in the country,” stated Dr. James Ringler, in the release. “I’m excited to bring my expertise to Phoenix and contribute to their academic medicine program as well as continuing to grow the orthopedic trauma program nationally.”
Dr. Ringler is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He received his fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center, which consisted of extensive surgery and research of spinal fractures, pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, foot and ankle injuries, peri-articulator, and long bone fractures. Dr. Ringler completed his residency and internship training at the Grand Rapids Residency Program in orthopedic surgery. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University School of Medicine Illinois. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Miami University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
“Dr. Ringler is a leading traumatologist and we couldn’t be more excited that he is joining our talented team at The CORE Institute,” stated Steven Myerthall, MD, Arizona Market President at The CORE Institute, in the release. “He has earned a national reputation as a leading traumatologist and we’re excited for his contributions in playing an important role to help all our patients achieve their best possible outcomes.”
