(Hong Kong, 1 st November, 2006) – Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (“<strong>TTI</strong>” /<br />

the Group) (stock code: 669, ADR symbol: TTNDY) is pleased to announce the appointment<br />

<strong>of</strong> Mr. <strong>Joseph</strong> <strong>Galli</strong>, Jr. as the Chief Executive Officer <strong>of</strong> Techtronic <strong>Appliances</strong> Holdings<br />

Company Limited (TAH), the Group’s <strong>Floor</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Appliances</strong> <strong>Division</strong>, effective 1 st November,<br />

2006.<br />

said Horst J. Pudwill, Chairman and <strong>CEO</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>TTI</strong>.<br />

<strong>Galli</strong>’s responsibilities as <strong>CEO</strong> will encompass every facet <strong>of</strong> the Group’s consumer<br />

floor care products in retail markets worldwide, including the promotion and development <strong>of</strong><br />

the leading brands “Dirt Devil®” and “Vax®.”<br />

<strong>Galli</strong>’s previous appointments include high level management positions at Black &<br />

Decker where he worked for over 19 years, rising to President <strong>of</strong> the Worldwide Power Tools<br />

and Accessory <strong>Division</strong>. Since leaving Black & Decker, <strong>Galli</strong> has been the Chief Operating<br />

Officer <strong>of</strong> Amazon.com, and from 2001 to 2005 was the <strong>CEO</strong> <strong>of</strong> Newell Rubbermaid. Having<br />

graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University <strong>of</strong> North Carolina in 1980,<br />

<strong>Galli</strong> also holds an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore.<br />
