electric hobs are fitted with ökospeed plus® heating elements. They glow within a matter 

of seconds to ensure an extremely rapid supply of heat. 

Heating just as you want it to be: 

Induction, a cold form of energy, only generates heat where it is actually needed – on the 

base of pots and pans. And since the hob itself does not heat up, nothing can burn. You 

will have perfect control of the cooking zones and all of their functions with the sensor 

electronic system. The smooth ceramic glass hobs make it easy to handle pots and pans 

and they are so easy to clean too. Depending on the model you will have technical details 

for convenience and safety at your fingertips, from A for automatic booster-phase to W for 

warming zone. For example, the pan size detection device, where sensors determine the 

diameter of pan bases and then switch on the relevant heating circuit. Or the minute min- 

der which you can also use as an automatic switch-off device for a cooking zone. Or other 

advantages such as a child-proof lock, a holiday shut-down device and residual heat 

display. This makes cooking fun at any time.

The robust glass ceramic hobs have a great 

deal of advantages: Thanks to their completely 

smooth surface pots and pans are particularly 

easy to handle. And because nothing 

burns on easily they can be cleaned with 

the flick of a wrist. 

ökospeed plus 

All of the KÜPPERSBUSCH cooking 

zones have ökospeed plus 

elements. These sophisticated 

elements ensure that the heat-up time 

takes only a matter of seconds, resulting in a 

quick supply of heat. Thus besides heating 

up quickly, valuable energy is also saved. 

Touch control 

An exemplary electronics system 

controls the electric cooking 

zones. Touching the sensor pad 

lightly is sufficient to switch on the respective 

cooking zone. Besides operating the 

cooking settings, the easy-to-handle sensor 

pads are also used for controlling all other 

functions. 

Automatic booster cooking phase 

Some of the cooking zones are equipped 

with an automatic booster, with which the 

setting for continuous cooking is stipulated 

on commencement of cooking. 

The cooking zone commences at full power 

and then automatically switches back to the 

setting for continuous cooking. You will find 

that cooking is taken care of for you. 

Induction 

Many professional cooks swear by 

this form of cold energy. Induction 

can be used more precisely than 

any other kind of energy – it is extremely 

fast, can be controlled perfectly, saves 

energy and is safe. The secret of induction 

cooking: energy is only transmitted to 

where a cooking pan with a ferrous base 

has been placed on a cooking zone. 

This generation of energy direct on the base 

of the pan ensures extremely short heating 

up times for food and low energy consumption. 

And since the cooking zone itself 

doesn’t get hot, nothing can burn on. 

Power booster setting 

KÜPPERSBUSCH induction hobs 

enable the power level of certain P cooking zones to be raised by 

switching on the power booster setting, 

which means that heat required is available 

much more quickly.

GO 

A STOP-AND-GO button integrated 

into the induction hobs makes 

for extremely convenient safety. 

With this button you will not be unpleasantly 

surprised when you unexpectedly need to 

answer the doorbell or the telephone, all it 

takes is a light touch on the STOP-AND-GO 

button and all of the activated cooking 

zones will be cut off at the setting that has 

been made. After your return all you need 

to do is press the button again to restart 

the process.

Pan detection 

The pan detection system installed 

under the glass ceramic hob 

determines whether there is a 

pan on the cooking zone or not. And the 

cooking zone which has been switched on 

will only heat up if this is the case. If the pan 

is removed the supply of energy is automatically 

cut off again. 

Pan and pan size detection 

In the case of some of the dualcircuit 

cooking zones, in addition 

to the pan detection system 

there is also a system to detect the size of 

a pan. Sensors determine the size of the 

cookware so that when a pan is placed on 

a cooking zone the heating circuit of the 

respective diameter is switched on. 

Minute minder 

The minute minder buzzes when the time 

set has expired. 

Automatic switch-off 

The automatic switch-off system switches 

off the cooking zone when the time set in 

the minute minder has expired. 

Central cut-off 

The central cut-off system enables all of the 

cooking zones to be switched off simultaneously. 

In the case of some of the models 

with sensor touch control there is a central 

cut-off pad on both the right-hand side and 

the left-hand side of the cooking zone. So it 

doesn’t matter which hand you use – if anything 

suddenly boils over you can switch off 

all of the cooking zones in a flash.

Residual heat indicator 

The residual heat indicator reliably indicates 

which cooking zones are still hot. So you 

will not only know when to be careful, you 

can also use the residual heat to keep food 

warm and save energy at the same time. 

Childproof lock 

It is not possible to unintentionally 

switch on the hob or turn 

up the setting when the child 

safety lock is activated. 

Holiday shut-down 

You no longer need to ask yourself if you 

have really switched off the hob after 

having left home. This is automatically taken 

care of by the holiday shut-down device. 

This safety device simply switches off the 

cooking zone if nothing is reset for some 

time. 

Triple-circuit and dual-circuit cooking 

zones 

Various diameter dimensions can be used 

with these cooking zones, to optimize use 

of various sizes of cookware. 

Dual-circuit cooking and roasting zone 

A round cooking zone can be turned into 

a rectangular cooking zone when an additional 

heating element is switched on. 

Frying zone 

Flexibility is what counts. Two round cooking 

zones which can be used individually can 

also be switched on together if so required, 

so that you have an oval frying zone.

With the new KÜPPERSBUSCH operating 

concept, all functions such as the menu 

functions, activation of multiple-circuit zones 

and automatic booster cooking phases, which 

can be selected directly, are clearly arranged 

on the hob. Depending on the model, additional 

functions such as a dimmable display 

and useful safety functions can be selected 

from the menu. Power levels 1, 5 and 9 can 

be selected for each zone at the touch of a 

finger – depending on the section of the 

button that is touched – and can then be 

changed as needed using the “+” and 

“-“ buttons.

With the new KÜPPERSBUSCH operating 

concept, all functions such as activation of 

the timer function and multiple-circuit zones, 

which can be selected directly, are clearly 

arranged on the hob. A light touch on the 

relevant wedge-shaped control graphic 

selects the desired zone. Moving your finger 

up and down the graduated scale adjusts 

the power level. 

Glass ceramic griddle 

The glass ceramic griddle ensures easy, 

healthy grilling. No pan or roaster is 

required; meat or fish will turn out delicious 

when cooked directly on the glass ceramic 

surface itself.

Installation Teppan Yaki: 

Due to its smaller cut-out size, we recommend the Teppan Yaki ETS 457.0 M be planned as an outer element. Then the cut-out width is to be planned with 28 mm more. 

Should the Teppan Yaki be planned for installation between two other VarioLine hobs, then the cut-out width must be increased by 56 mm (see below). 

Installation examples with Teppan Yaki: Cut-out width: 

One 60cm-VarioLine hob + ETS 457 (outer element) 560 mm + 35 mm + 380 mm + 28 mm = 1.003 mm
