President and Chief Operating Officer, Board Elects Two New Officers<br />

NEENAH, Wisc.<br />

<strong>Bemis</strong> <strong>Company</strong>, Inc. (NYSE:BMS) announced that effective at today's Board of<br />

Director's meeting, Henry J. <strong>Theisen</strong> has been elected to the position of President and<br />

Chief Operating Officer. <strong>Theisen</strong> has served as Executive Vice President and Chief<br />

Operating Officer for <strong>Bemis</strong> <strong>Company</strong> since 2003.<br />

The Board also elected two new officers of the <strong>Company</strong>. Robert F. Hawthorne and<br />

James W. Ransom have each been promoted to Vice President of Operations of <strong>Bemis</strong><br />

<strong>Company</strong>.<br />

"I am very pleased to announce the promotion of Henry <strong>Theisen</strong> to the position of<br />

President of <strong>Bemis</strong> <strong>Company</strong>," said Jeff Curler, Chairman of the Board and Chief<br />

Executive Officer. "Henry has been a strong leader in the growth of our business for<br />

many years and is eminently qualified to implement our future growth strategy as <strong>Bemis</strong>'<br />

President. His in-depth knowledge of the industry, business insight and technical<br />

knowledge are valuable assets that he uses proficiently to enhance the profitability and<br />

prospects of the <strong>Bemis</strong> <strong>Company</strong>."<br />

Henry <strong>Theisen</strong> began his career at <strong>Bemis</strong> in 1975 and has held leadership positions in<br />

operations, research and development, and marketing for <strong>Bemis</strong>' Flexible Packaging<br />

business. He was named President of <strong>Bemis</strong>' Curwood subsidiary in 1998, was elected<br />

Vice President of Operations and President of <strong>Bemis</strong> High Barrier Products in 2002, and<br />

was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2003. <strong>Theisen</strong><br />

received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of<br />

Wisconsin.<br />

Robert Hawthorne joined <strong>Bemis</strong> in 1985 and has served as President of <strong>Bemis</strong>' Custom<br />

Resins, MACtac Americas, Milprint and Curwood subsidiaries. He has been responsible<br />

for <strong>Bemis</strong>' Paper Packaging, Clysar and global MACtac operations since 2005.<br />

Hawthorne received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Clemson<br />

University and his MBA in finance from Houston University.<br />

James Ransom joined <strong>Bemis</strong> in 2002 as President of <strong>Bemis</strong>' Banner Packaging<br />

subsidiary. He was promoted to President of <strong>Bemis</strong>' Curwood subsidiary in 2005. Prior to<br />

joining <strong>Bemis</strong> <strong>Company</strong>, Ransom was President and CEO of Promo Edge, a printing,<br />

packaging and marketing services subsidiary of Menasha Corporation. Ransom is a CPA<br />

and received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of<br />

Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
