Leadership Programme in Secondary Schools

YUVA launches Leadership Programme in Secondary Schools of Zone 2

YUVA, one of the largest and most active youth-led NGOs of Mauritius, joins YUVA Academy, its subsidiary for launching an intensive free leadership programme for secondary school students of Zone 2.

Designed for a 12-hour duration, this leadership programme challenges secondary school students to apply learning using a realistic simulation, based on real-world leadership experiences.

YUVA aims to develop young people’s leadership knowledge for them to become effective leaders in society. Using interactive activities including reflexive journals, students will develop their own understandings of what constitutes good leadership and how to apply this knowledge in real life situations.

A value-driven leadership and community is the need of the hour in the wake of the private and public sector scandals all around the globe. Leaders are now required to build an ethical, value-driven community that also makes an organisation the provider of choice, employer of choice and investment of choice. It is important to inculcate traits that bring about a strong sense of direction, build an inspiring vision, and create something new. Leadership is about charting out where you need to go to as an individual, as a group, team or organisation; and the whole process is dynamic, exciting, and inspiring.

Secondary Schools are welcoming this free leadership programme for their students. The programme will be delivered over a lapse of 4 weeks, 3 hours per week and 1 day per week.

At the end of the leadership programme, all students who have fulfilled the criteria of the course will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

If you are a School Rector or Educator, and willing to bring this free programme to your school, please write to us at: info@yuvamauritius.com
