Adding 8-12wt% trehalose to enzyme conjugate diluents in certain diagnostic reagent kits has been reported to maintain the stability of the enzyme conjugate diluent, thereby preserving the stability of the reagent kit. The activity of enzyme-labeled antibodies remains unchanged after 37°C for 4 days when stabilized with trehalose, while the activity of antibodies without the stabilizer is almost completely lost.
