TY IRIS,  a former slate quarryman's cottage offers inexpensive accommodation in the centre of Llanllechid for visitors to Snowdonia. Llanllechid is a part of the Snowdonia National Park, renowed for its scenic beauty. It is a very popular area for walking and mountain climbing and is an ideal base for exploring the stunning mountains of the Carneddau and Glyders. Just a little further lies Snowdon, with the long, sandy beaches of Anglesey being easily reached. Caernarfon, Conwy and Beaumaris castles are nearby, and one of Europe's largest zip wires is located less than a mile away.
