Faviidae Faviinae Favia

This genus, locally composed of 7 species*, is found in all geomorphological areas of the reef. The overall colony growth form is massive. The size of colonies is included between few centimetres and about ten. Corallites arrangement is plocoid, their size is centrimetric (3 to 15 mm). The shape of individual corallites are circular or oval and sometimes irregular, the wall is generally prominent.
