#BALANCED is the first innovative project in which teachers from high school can sensitize students to legal, illegal or digital drugs and compete with other classes.
Teachers download the app with their students. Four challenging tasks have to be mastered. The participants can also use pictures to communicate what is good for them mentally and physically. Pupils can now choose the consumption challenge each week in order to reflect on their personal consumption. The 30 best classes will each receive a Migros voucher worth CHF 200 for the class.
How #BALANCED works
Teachers in upper grades, middle schools or trade schools from the cantons of Bern, Solothurn and German-speaking Freiburg first register their class on this website: https://besofr.blaueskreuz.ch/ausgegelt. During an introductory lesson, students download the app. The competition starts as soon as the starting sequence has been realized.
Duration of the program phase
The classes can be registered from August up to and including November 7th. During this period of time, the start-up sequence is performed by the teacher. Two challenges can be implemented at any time up until December 12 at the latest. The picture and consumption challenges start for everyone on November 7th and also end on December 12th. From December 13th to 22nd, the teacher conducts a final sequence that includes a short survey via app.
Points of sale and protection of minors
All students can identify points of sale where cigarettes, snus, snuff or vaping products are sold to under 18s. Thanks to the information provided, the Blue Cross carries out test purchases to check the protection of minors.
Attractive prices
In January 2024, the top 30 classes will each receive CHF 200 for the class fund. During the program, participants can also take part in a raffle with prizes totaling almost CHF 2,000.
