Elia

This application corresponds to Elhuyar's automatic translator. It uses state-of-the-art technology based on artificial intelligence and neural networks, and can be downloaded for free. He speaks six languages: Basque, Spanish, French, English, Catalan and Galician. And it can be used for translations between any of these languages.

By downloading this application to your mobile phone, we can use it to translate any text we are reading. All you have to do is type in the text in the application, choose the language you want to translate it in and click on the "Translate" button. If we have the Elia app shortcut active, we don't have to type text in the app. On your mobile, outside of the Elia app, when we are reading anything, select the text, press the copy button, and the Elia app icon will appear. Clicking on it will take us directly to the application, and the text we have copied will appear in the corresponding text box.

Since its inception (1972), Elhuyar has had a vocation for linking languages ​​with science and technology, and has been a reference in the treatment of Basque and the surrounding languages. He started researching language technologies in 2002, and two years later he started working on machine translation. Since then, he has been involved in various projects in this field, as well as making services available.
