Catherine Woodbury Daylily
Here are three photos from yesterday when there was one flower in bloom of this beautiful daylily. Today there are two flowers in bloom. Of course I have to take photos of them too. Will post them later today or then tomorrow.
Catherine Woodbury & Strawberry Candy Daylilies
The Catherine Woodbury IS BACK. As my mother would have said: It’s a miracle. My mother loved flowers. I remember times when she was sad because a precious flower disappeared from the flower bed to then a year or two, or even after longer, be back. The Catherine Woodbury was away, according to my photo albums, since 2016. I say welcome back. The Strawberry Candy yesterday had the most number of flowers in bloom on one day. As many as six 🙂
Daylily Catherine Woodbury
Two more photos of the pink lily or as I saw online some call them orchid-lavender or peach pink. I’m so much looking forward to the orange ones to also bloom soon and to perhaps be able to take some photos of all three or actually all four different color daylilies in one picture. The fourth one is the one my friend brought me two weeks ago. My friend has daylilies in several different colors and was not sure about which she brought me. We’ll have to wait and see. 
Daylily Hemerocallis ‘Catherine Woodbury’
The Catherine Woodbury is in bloom. The first flower opened yesterday. Two stems, the other one with a total of 15 buds the other 10 buds. When I look up for pictures and information on this flower there are about 50/50 many hits for both Catherine Woodbury and Woodbery. Hmm, which is the correct one. The two first pictures I took at about 8 am and the last one at about 5 pm.

Yesterday was the first time my Catherine Woodbury had three flowers at one time. One on each stem. Of course, I took pictures of them. I read online that it has a light fragrance. I have not noticed any but when the next flowers are in bloom I will put my nose into it to find out what it smells like.
The Day Lilies
All three daylilies are in bloom. All the other lilies have, because of the very warm temperatures, finished flowering already. Also the snails and beetles made them look sad as they ate both of the flowers and the leaves. I wonder if there is something I can add to the ground that would prevent the snails and beetles.

Orange Daylily Hemerocallis

The above information is from Wikipedia. I’ll just keep it simple and call it Orange Lily 😉
Strawberry Candy Daylily.
Good thing is there are no snails and beetles on this side of our house where the daylilies are. Only a cute hedgehog. Saw him yesterday at about 11 pm. We have not seen any, around here, for years. I read they eat both snails and bugs. Hmm, hedgehogs, they might be the solution to the snail/bug problem.
My Catherine Woodbury Daylily
Today, it happened today ! My Catherine Woodbury Daylily, which I bought in the beginning of the summer, is in bloom. There will be sixteen flowers on two stems. As it’s raining now I still am looking forward to shoot some new pictures of the flower when sun shines. I’m so excited 🙂
Also the Strawberry Candy Lily, I bought last summer, is going to bloom in a week or two. I hope both will have some flowers at the same time. I’d love to shoot them in the same picture.
Last week a very kind woman gave me some lily plants from her garden. They too are really beautiful. They are ‘Brasilia Hybrid Oriental Lilies’. The white petals are delicately outlined in a soft pink. Can’t wait to see them next summer.
I now have lilies in nine different color 🙂
