Core Rules of Netiquette

Etiquette, according to Merriam-Webster, is “the conduct or procedure required by good breeding or prescribed by authority to be observed in social or official life.”

Both words, network and etiquette, is somehow similar to concept of the combined phrase ‘internet‘ and ‘citizen‘.

An individual should be reminded of the core rules of netiquette, especially now that we live in the Information Age, where digital technology and communication devices have facilitated the quick dissemination of information. We as an individual should accept the responsibility of using the internet in productive and socially responsible ways. Thus, the core rules of netiquette offered by Virginia Shea is there to guide every netizen in applying the same responsible respectful behavior online as they do in every other environment and by nature.

With the overflowing ideas, the group mates came up to use symbols in explaining the core rules. Every member has put their heart and soul in it, like a netizen whose careful and sensitive in every action and every ideas he/she shares with others.
