This is my collection of Pre-MAD Alfred E Neuman items. They are called Pre-MAD because they feature the likeness of Alfred E Neuman prior to the creation of MAD magazine. Different versions of Alfred's likeness were used in advertising as far back as the 1800's. These Pre-MAD items inspired the creation of the Alfred E Neuman we know today. Two of the items have a copyright date of 1941, but I am unsure how old the other ones are. These versions of Alfred are public domain as far as I know, so feel free to use them however you like. This collection includes 8 postcards, a greeting card, a birthday card, a matchbook, two posters, an envelope and a print.
