ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team finished second overall at the 2019 Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championship with a total of 1,438 points.

Sophomore
Stanley Zaneski highlighted the individual portion of the day with a win in the 100 freestyle. His time of 45.15 set a new meet record, a new team record and hit the NCAA B cut standards. Zaneski initially broke the meet record earlier in the day during the preliminaries.

Nate Bartalo notched a third-place finish in the 100 free, racing to a time of 46.03.

The Bombers also won the final event of the championships – the 400 freestyle relay – in thrilling fashion. The team of Zaneski,
Kellen Scanlan,
Daniel Meyers and Bartalo won the field in 3:04.04, edging RPI by .11 and setting a new meet record.

In the first event of the evening, the 1,650 freestyle, senior
Jake Hewitt picked up a third-place finish, swimming to a time of 16.36.12. Pat Daly also earned a spot on the podium with an eighth-place finish in 16:58.51.

First-year
Spencer Brownewell, fresh off a win in the 100 backstroke on Friday evening, took third in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:54.55. Senior
Bradley Keith took sixth with a time of 1:58.08 while
Dylan Haraden finished seventh in 1:58.51.

Junior
Andrew Mikhailichenko snagged a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, swimming to a time of 2:05.59. He was narrowly edged by RPI's Jonathen Yang, who won in 2:05.59.

In diving action, sophomore
Justin Moczynski took third place with 489.35 points. St. Lawrence's Matt Edkins racked up 592.95 points to claim first while Union's Davis Harrington picked up second with a score of 511.05.
