biotic factors
Toucan bird from south america
The toucan bird is a bird which lives in the South American tropical rainforest but it is recognized everywhere. It is a omnivore so it eats both meat and plants. The toucan is a biotic factor because it does many of the things that biotic factors do such as reproduce, respond to changes in the environment, hunt, and use energy to do major things, such as move around and hunt. These are specific reasons why the Toucan is a biotic factor.
Role in Environment- Consumer because they cannot make their own food, so they need to eat/consume other plants/and or animals but in this case animals.
More information: Toucans in general eat insects and, sometimes, young birds, eggs, or lizards. Toucans nest in tree holes. They usually have two to four eggs each year, which both parents care for. The Toucan has the largest beak for a bird, it is also so strong that it could break many hard nuts at once. Also the beak helps protect them from predators because if they attack the attacker could get hurt very badly due to the tremendous pressure the Toucan produces.

Red-Eyed Tree Frog From Central america
The red eyed tree lives in Geotropically Rainforests in Central America, the tree frog eats live crickets, meal worms, or waxworks. The red eyed tree frog is a carnivore. The red eyed tree frog is biotic because it can do many things that biotic factors can do. Such as it can respond to the changes in the environment, they can reproduce, using energy to do things, they breathe in oxygen is also which is a vital part in making a organism living.
Role in Environment- Consumer because they cannot make their own food, so they need to eat/consumer other plants/and or animals but in this case animals.
More Info- Being the color green helps the red-eyed tree frog blend/camouflage into its environment meaning that it has to blend in with tree leaves. If the green camouflage fails and a predator spots a sleeping frog, it swoops in for what it thinks will be a tasty meal. But the surprised frog eyes pop open, revealing their startling bright red color! Which scares the attacking predator off. Which makes the red eyed tree frog a very well adapted organism which has found ways to adapt very effectively to its surroundings.

JaGuar from both central and south america
Today significant numbers of Jaguars are found only in remote regions of South and Central America—particularly in the Amazon Basin. The Jaguar is a carnivore meaning that it eats (meat) prey in the form of fish, turtles, or caimans—small, alligatorlike animals. The Jaguar is a biotic factor because it has many of the characteristics which make it that. Such as that it responds to the changes to the environment, it can reproduce, use energy to do things that benefit the organism, which means that it hunts/sleeps which all have to do with the use if energy. Which the abiotic factors cannot do.
Role in Environment- Consumer because they cannot make their own food, so they need to eat/consumer other plants/and or animals but in this case animals.
More Interesting Info- Unlike many other big cats, the Jaguar does not avoid water, in fact they enjoy being in water due to their likelihood of catching meals. They are also the best swimmers out of all the big cats living today. Most Jaguars color pattern are tan or orange with distinctive black spots, dubbed "rosettes" because they look similar to roses. Some Jaguars are so dark they appear to be spotless, though their markings can be seen on closer inspection. But this is really rare due to unlikelihood of getting/seeing a Jaguar with a full black coat. (Pigments effect what kind of color the coat of the Jaguar is)

abiotic factors
All of these things below are considered abiotic factors because they are nonliving parts of the environment that affect the ecosystem. They are abiotic because, they cannot do the things that biotic factors can do such as reproduce , get rid of waste and respond to the changes in the environment.
More Info about the abiotic factors below:
Rocks- Rocks, in their original form, can play many key/important roles in the ecosystem, such as they can form many natural boundaries around the ecosystem, and also they can block incoming sunlight to influence the climate/temperature. Whether it is by making the climate hot by allowing the sun in or cold by blocking the sun out. They also provide good shelters for the organisms living in the ecosystem.
Water-Water plays an array of vital roles in the ecosystems across the planet. Although there are many other elements that are necessary for life to prosper and for ecosystems to exist, but without water nothing else would function properly, and life as we know it wouldn't exist at all.
Sunlight- Sunlight plays a very important role in an ecosystem . The Sun gives us warmth, and also gives us lots of health benefits both directly and indirectly. Indirectly, it is essential for plant life, for photosynthesis, the required energy generating activity of plants. Without plant life, of course, there would be no human or other animal life. If plants wouldn't exist we would have no food source and most importantly clean oxygen to breath.
Roles played in ecosystem/environment:
Rocks- Keystone Species
Sunlight- Keystone Species
Water- Keystone Species
Definition of Keystone Species: A keystone species plays a critical role in its ecosystem. Removing it from that ecosystem can have drastic/dramatic effects on the surroundings which includes the animals living in that ecosystem.
