First edition, folio, engraved portrait frontispiece and engraved title, typographical title cancelled in this copy, colophon is dated MDCXXXX; bound in full contemporary speckled English calf, with printer's waste (likely pieces of the broadside, His Majestie's Letter January 24th, London: Printed for Henry Twyford, 1642) used as endleaf guards [ESTC R209744] imprint and date visible at front; binding slightly bumped and rubbed, with some holes, generally a very fine survival, without repair; ex libris David Smyth of Methuen, with his armorial engraved bookplate pasted on verso of title page; 10 7/8 x 7 1/8 in.
