Senior Year: He started 32-of-33 games in his final campaign at Syracuse...A bruised nose caused him to miss two contests...He tallied 112 blocks, the highest total by an SU senior in program history and the fourth-best single-season number...Only Etan Thomas and Derrick Coleman had more blocks in a campaign...Watkins ranked seventh among Division I performers in blocked-shot average (3.4)...He completed his career ranked fifth all-time at Syracuse...Watkins blocked at least one shot in 31-of-32 games and had multiple swats in 27-of-32 outings...He also grabbed five-or-more rebounds in 27 games...He had seven blocks and 13 rebounds in a non-conference encounter with WICHITA STATE...His first double-double of the season was a 14-point, 13-board showing versus DREXEL...He had a career-high 18 points when Syracuse defeated ST. Junior Year: Watkins’ 99 blocks were the fourth most by a junior at SU...He ranked 16th in Division I blocked shots per game (2.8)...He had at least one rebound in every game in 2005-06...Watkins ranks ninth all-time at SU in career blocks with 151…His eight blocks against CORNELL were the second most in a single game in school history...Watkins contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds in SU’s victory against MANHATTAN…He had a career high 14 rebounds to go with 10 points at NOTRE DAME....In back-to-back BIG EAST outings, Watkins tallied 12 points and nine rebounds at CONNECTICUT and 11 points with 14 boards at ST. JOHN’S…During SU’s four-game run to the BIG EAST Tournament championship, he averaged 11.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks.

Sophomore Year: Watkins participated in 26 games in 2004-05...He was slowed by a thumb injury that required surgery...He missed the HOFSTRA game through the first WEST VIRGINIA contest...He had a career-best 14 points and 13 rebounds when Syracuse defeated DREXEL...Watkins logged a collegiate-high 33 minutes in the contest...Earlier in the campaign he had 12-point outbursts against NORTHERN COLORADO and ST. BONAVENTURE...He tallied eight points and eight boards versus BINGHAMTON...One of his stronger league-game showings came against ST. JOHN'S when he contributed eight points and seven rebounds...In three BIG EAST Conference Tournament games, Watkins averaged 26.0 minutes, 3.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.

Freshman Year: Watkins made his collegiate debut in the season opener against CHARLOTTE and grabbed his first career rebound…After producing five points and four rebounds against BINGHAMTON he had six points and six boards, plus two blocks, against COLGATE…Watkins tallied a career-high eight points after converting all four of his field goal attempts versus NC-ASHEVILLE…His six rebounds at CONNECTICUT equaled the season-high effort he had versus BINGHAMTON…Watkins blocked four shots in a game three different times – against UNC-ASHEVILLE, PITTSBURGH and CONNECTICUT…He logged a personal-best 17 minutes in the home matchup with the PANTHERS.

High School: He was rated 35th overall and seventh at center by ESPN.com, 35th by PrepStars, 51st by Insiders Hoops, 60th by Hoop Scoop, and fourth by New Jersey Hoops (New Jersey only)…Watkins was coached by Tommie Patterson at Paterson Catholic High School…He attended Passaic Tech before transferring to Paterson Catholic in his sophomore year…Watkins attended the Adiddas ABCD Camp in Teanack, N.J. during the summer of 2002…A first-team all-state pick as a senior, Watkins was a four-time all-county selection and earned all-area his final two seasons…He was MPVof the 2002 Tipoff Classic at Ramapo College…He averaged approximately 16 points, 11 rebounds, six blocks and three assists in his senior campaign…Watkins had a 54-point outing against Saddle Brook in January…He had another strong showing at the Prime-Time Shootout (Trenton, N.J.), tallying 21 points and 12 rebounds versus Oak Hill Academy (Va.)…Watkins completed his scholastic career with 1,044 points…Paterson Catholic was 22-5 in 2002-03.
