Before Denver: In 2019-20, Behrens scored seven goals and tallied 33 assists in 51 total games with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program … During the 2020-21 campaign, Behrens tallied 35 points (7g/28a) with the U.S. U-18 team in 46 games, registering 18 of those points (4g/14a) with the U.S. NTDP Juniors in 23 USHL games ... Served as an alternate captain on Team USA’s roster for the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship, posting four points (1g/3a) in five games ... Won a silver medal with Team USA at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, recording the most points by a D-man (8) and assists (7) overall in the tournament. He was also named to the WHC’s All-Star Team … Prior to his time with the NTDP, Behrens was a five-time state champion with the Chicago Mission.
