Description

You are bidding on a small sample with radiating, wispy platy crystals of ehrleite on one side of the matrix with colorless, prismatic crystals of parascholzite on the opposite side. These prismatic parascholzite crystals have been sold as ehrleite many times..... but are not ehrleite! This is a sample from the type material, and the habit of ehrleite described in the paper and in photos are thin, platy crystals in radiating groups like illustrated in the photos here. A later find consisted of thicker, single crystals resembling barite. Ex. Thomas Campbell and William and Ann Cook collections. A true ehrleite!
