Ptychosperma macarthurii, commonly known as the Macarthur palm or the cluster palm, is a species of palm tree native to the rainforests of northern Queensland, Australia. It is also commonly cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide for its ornamental value.

This palm species typically grows to a height of about 6-12 meters (20-40 feet) tall, with a slender trunk that is usually about 10-15 centimeters (4-6 inches) in diameter. The trunk is ringed with old leaf scars, giving it a distinctive appearance. The foliage consists of pinnate leaves that can reach lengths of up to 3 meters (10 feet). The leaflets are glossy green and arranged in a feather-like pattern.

Ptychosperma macarthurii produces small, white flowers that are borne in clusters among the leaves. These flowers are followed by small, round fruits that turn from green to orange or red when ripe. The fruits are not edible and are primarily ornamental.

This palm species is commonly used in landscaping for its tropical appearance and ability to tolerate a range of soil types and growing conditions. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial shade to full sun exposure. Ptychosperma macarthurii is relatively low-maintenance once established and can be propagated from seeds.
