牙膏新法规 = Yá (Tooth) + Gāo (Cream) + Xīn (New) + Fǎ (Law) + Guī (Regulation)= Toothpaste New Regulations Toothpaste is more than a mere oral health product; it's integral to our well-being, affecting our oral microbiome significantly. On December 1, 2023, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) implemented the Measures for Toothpaste Supervision and Administration, aligning it with the regulations for ordinary cosmetics. This pivotal regulation marks a significant shift in the oral care industry across China. Concurrently, the "China Oral Care Association" published a list of over 1000 authorized ingredients for toothpaste. This list is expected to be a primary reference for the NMPA's final official version, which will be released in batches throughout 2024. The use of ingredients in toothpaste will be restricted to this list, and food ingredients not included will no longer be permitted. The process for registering new toothpaste materials will now mirror those for cosmetics, with slight differences in toxicological test requirements. Our oral care team—comprising a product manager, a formulation engineer, and a regulatory specialist—has completed specialized training by the NMPA in Xiamen. 评审= Píng (Review) + Shěn (Audit) = Audit Successful completion on Saturday 13 January of the first on-site audit conducted by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) for our in-house testing center. The comprehensive audit, which took place over one week, evaluated our compliance with national and international standards for laboratory testing and calibration. The 2 auditors CNAS team meticulously reviewed SETHIC's operational procedures, quality management systems, personnel competencies, and technical capabilities to ensure alignment with the stringent criteria set forth by the accreditation body. SETHIC new testing center can perform in-vivo testing for moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, firmness, soothing, oil control according to China national "GB" standards. The CNAS accreditation signifies that SETHIC's testing center meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, which is the main ISO standard used by testing and calibration laboratories.
