Help help help. I woke up this morning and 2 of my 4 look like this?

Someone out here in the marijauna world has got to know what this is …? I dont want to be the creater of a new disease or problem for our plants !

Well ive cut the affected branches off already …now im wanting to do a hydrogen peroxide flush…can anyone help with advice on how to do that and do i add it to a gallon of water or pour it straight into the soil ? @Hogmaster @dbrn32 @MattyBear

Nope. Im the only person on the planet that has that luck…guarantee!

I’m not super familiar with this process, but it depends on strength of peroxide you have. Like standard 3% peroxide I believe 2-3 teaspoons per gallon is pretty normal amount.

I’m still not sure that is your issue, or the proper course of action. But it’s my best guess as of right now.

Well im at the end of my rope with this broad …either this works and i see her start to look better or i just pull her and finishbout the grow of my other 2 and focus on the other 3 that have sprouted and are about ready for transplant in a couple of weeks !

Sometimes you have that one girl that just doesn’t want to act right. Like you said give her a minute and see if not at least you have some others started

Yeah it killed me to cut those branches but damn i have tried everyrhing to keep her healthy and growing right but jus wont comply ! So the peroxide flush is next (tonight ) . Ive just had a long day and want to see my girls and get some food .

Let us know how she handles it and then relax and unwind

@WickedAle thanks brother !

That is the strangest occurrence of infection I have seen. There is no question it is an endophytic organism gone rogue. It is systemic so it would be difficult to exterminate by treating for root rot because it’s not at the roots. Let me see what I can find.

Thanks a ton man ! Im going to go ahead and treat the roots with hydrogen peroxide though…do you suggest ?

Found this, but you don’t have leaf browning? I will search more tomorrow. But I’d start watering to wilt to dry the soil out big time. Peroxide 3% will kill off microbes in the soil, but there are nooks and crannies that will still remain infected.

Well i cut off 2 more branches .root drenched with hydrogen peroxide flush. Cranked on the heater in the tent directly on the pot to speed up the soil drying process. When she is dry im going to transplant into a different smart pot with sterilized soil and will then add beneficial microbes back to the soil . If she doesnt show signs of healing after 1 week im then just going to cut her down and lay her to rest. No need in beating a dead horse at that point .

I didn’t see POST # 358 But your problem there was or still is>>>DOES THIS PIC LOOK LIKE YOUR LEAVES DID IN THAT POST ?

Magnesium (Mg) - Micronutrient and Mobile Element

Magnesium_Deficiency_in_Marijuana_Plants
Magnesium helps supports healthy veins while keeping a healthy
leaf production and its
structure. Magnesium is significant for chlorophyll-production
and enzyme break downs.
Magnesium which must be present in relatively large quantities
for the plant to survive,
but yet not to much to where it will cause the plant to show a toxicity.

Magnesium is one of the easiest deficiencies to tell… the green veins
along with the
yellowness of the entire surrounding leave is a dead giveaway, but
sometimes that’s not
always the case here. In case you have one of those where it doesn’t
show the green veins,
sometimes leaf tips and edges may discolor and curl upward. The growing
tips can turn lime
green when the deficiency progresses to the top of the plant. The edges
will feel like dry
and crispy and usually affects the lower leaves in younger plants, then
will affect the
middle to upper half when it gets older, but It can also happen on older
leaves as well.
The deficiency will start at the tip then will take over the entire outer
left and right
sides of the leaves. The inner part will be yellow and or brownish in color,
followed by
leaves falling without withering. The tips can also twist and turn as well
as curving
upwards as if you curl your tongues.

Excessive levels of magnesium in your plants will exhibit a buildup of toxic
salts that
will kill the leaves and lock out other nutrients like Calcium (Ca). Mg can
get locked
out by having too much Calcium, Chlorine or ammonium in your soil/water.
One of the worst problems a person can have is a magnesium def caused by
a ph lockout.
By giving it more magnesium to cure the problem when you are thinking you
are doing good,
but actually you are doing more harm then good. When the plants can’t
take in a nutrient
because of the ph being off for that element, the plant will not absorb
it but it will be
in the soil… therefore causing a buildup. A buildup will be noticed by
the outer parts of
the plant becoming whitish and or a yellowish color. The tips and part
way in on the inner
leaves will die and feel like glass. Parts affected by Magnesium deficiency
are: space
between the veins (Interveinal) of older leaves; may begin around interior perimeter of leaf.

Problems with Magnesium being locked out by PH troubles

Light Acid Soils, soils with excessive potassium, calcium and or phosphorus

Soil

Magnesium gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 2.0-6.4
Magnesium is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 6.5-9.1 . (Wouldn’t
recommend having a
ph of over 7.0 in soil) anything out of the ranges listed will contribute
to a Magnesium
deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Magnesium gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels
of 2.0-5.7
Magnesium is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels
of 5.8-9.1
(Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.)
Best range for
hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges
listed will contribute
to a Magnesium deficiency.

Solution to fixing a Magnesium deficiency
Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Magnesium in them will fix a
Magnesium deficiency.
(Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will c
ause nutrient burn!)
Other nutrients that have magnesium in them are: Epsom salts, which is
fast absorption.
Dolomite lime and or garden lime (same thing just called different)
which is slow absorption.
Sulfate of Potash, Magnesia which is medium absorption. Worm Castings,
which is slow absorption.
Crabshell which is slow absorption. Earth Juice Mircoblast, which is
fast acting. (a must buy!!
Has lots of 2ndary nutrients).
Now if you added to much chemical nutrients and or organics,( which is
hard to burn your plants
when using organics) You need to Flush the soil with plain water.
You need to use 2 times as
much water as the size of the pot, for example: If you have a 5 gallon
pot and need to flush
it, you need to use 10 gallons of water to rinse out the soil good enough
to get rid of excessive
nutrients.

Looks like stem rot. it is not that bad and I have had a bad habit in the past to jump to conclusions and make a move I regretted later. Just be calm, your leaves are looking good and Maybe just maybe a suggestion and I am not an expert by any means, but maybe a watering of carbonated water and molasses , usually given first week of flower and a few times after that. If you use H2o2 it will kill all living organisms in the soil.

Rott006ing stems

The culprits for this one are likely to be over watering, poor drainage or overfeeding, in pretty much that order. Be vigilant to any sign of stem rot and if you do notice it, check the aforementioned list very quickly.

Stem is changing colour

Issues with watering (over and under, but generally over), poor drainage and incorrect feeding (again over or under but typically over) can all be a factor here, as can heat, both too much and too little.

If you have any problems with your cannabis growing, then the points to check are water (including drainage), food, soil and pot size, temperature and the presence of pests. If you’re still at a loss as to how to fix your grow problem, then remember that cannabis growing is popular around the world and hence there are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people online to give you some advice, regardless of whether you’re indoor growing or outdoor growing. As with all grow problems, regardless of whether they relate to cannabis or any other plant, the more vigilant you are and the quicker you take action, the more likely you are to save your plant.

I felt the same a few weeks ago. Just started pH adj. and easy as pie! The ph20 works so simply that I felt stupid for fretting. Just read the instructions and go to utube and watch videos on calibration and use. Start with a few drops of up/down and sneek up/down to the correct reading. After 1st time, easy piesy.

Well everyone thanks for all the help , i removed the affected areas last night and gave her a dose of hydrogen peroxide (i know ill have to give her back her beneficial microbes) but i felt it was a safe move . Better safe than sorry . Placed a new heater on her to help dry her soil out and placed a 6" fan blowing on her to to keep from buring with the heater ! Fingers crossed that this week she shows improvements and stops getting the stem rot because if i see anymore stems turn come monday of next week shes getti g cut of death.
