เทศกาลที่คงยังกลิ่นอายความเป็นฮาโลวีนมากที่สุดต้องยกให้ชาวไอร์แลนด์ โดยมีประเพณีดั้งเดิมคือการ เสีย่ งทายจาก Barmbrack ขนมปังสูตรเฉพาะของชาวไอริช ซึง่ จะมีการใส่สงิ่ แปลกปลอมต่างๆ เช่น เศษผ้า แหวน เมล็ดถัว่ ทัง้ เปลือก และเหรียญโลหะ ซึง่ หากใครรับประทานเจอสิง่ ไหนก็จะมีคำ� ท�ำนายทีต่ า่ งกันออกไป โดยตามท้องถนนในเมืองเราจะพบผูค้ นและเด็กแต่งชุดแฟนซีผอี อกมาหลอกผูค้ นและเคาะประตูเพือ่ นบ้าน ซึ่งตามธรรมเนียมก็จะต้องได้เหรียญและขนมเป็นการตอบแทน หรือที่เรียกว่าการเล่น "Trick or treat?" นั่นเอง The Halloween Brack contains various objects such as cloth, pea, ring and coin baked into bread and used as a sort of fortune telling game. Each item, when received in the slice, was supposed to carry a meaning to the person concerned. The Irish Halloween Brack is similar to the present day trick or treat.

The yellow-red and Victorian architectural buildings have become the label of Hua Hin District. Hua Hin Railway Station is recognized to be Thailand’s most beautiful railway station. Because of that, it has become one of Hua Hin’s top destinations for tourists to visit and take pictures. The most outstanding feature of the station is its label which is also the most popular spot for taking pictures. This label is also designed and fabricated souvenirs sold around the town. Another important feature is the Royal Waiting Room or Plub Pla Sanamchan which originally situated at Sanamchan Palace. It was constructed during King Mongkut’s reign for the observation of the scouts training. In 1968, it was moved to Hua Hin by the governor of the Railway Department at that time and has become Hua Hin’s important landmark.

Hua Hin Artist Village is the studio and art gallery displaying the art works which reflect the unique identities of Hua Hin artists. All artists’ works and studios are perfectly placed on over 9 Rai land filled with lush greenery that makes visitors feel peaceful and relaxed. The studios contain various types of exhibition such as watercolor paintings, oil paintings, metal sculpture, clay sculpture and chinaware. There is also live piano music every Saturday and Sunday as well as various workshops to attend such as drawing, doll and mask painting, and papier mache. At the end of this year, the village will organize “Art Arbor”, the exhibition that brings together the works of all artists in this village. Talu Island is a new popular destination among tourists who are attracted to the charm of western sea. Apart from the beauty of the island that attracts many tourists, its location is not too far from Hua Hin where tourists can either take trip on the island. Talu Island is also a new destination for eco – tourism in Thailand. Talu Island is rich in natural resources such as clean beaches and clear blue water. The island’s important landmark includes “Chong Talu”, a nature’s wonder which is strangely beautiful. Nearby is a diving area full of colorful coral reefs and sea fish which tourists are able to feed them. At this area, tourists are able to choose between snorkeling and scuba diving with professional staff providing assistance. After the regime has changed, Prince Boribhat Sukhumbhandi changed his residence to Praseban Mansion in Java, Indonesia. There are many beautiful destinations in Vietnam that attract a lot of tourists including the mountains, the inland and the beaches. One of Vietnam’s most elegant and livable cities is “Dalat”. Dalat locates in Lamdong Region, southern Vietnam. It situates on the high mountains with cool temperature all year round. The name “Dalat” derived from “Da” which means river and “Lat” is the minority who once lived on this land. During the French colonial period, Dalat was developed to be a resort town because of its weather condition and beautiful pine woods that surround the city. The European style villas also help increasing the attractiveness of this city. Because of its romantic atmosphere, Dalat became a popular resort town for Vietnamese honeymooners and couples. The interesting attraction of Dalat is the old French community locating near the bridge crossing Kali River. There are beautiful houses just like those in the fairy tales. Dalat’s local market which locates down town is where minority people sell various types of vegetables and fruits such as avocadoes, mushrooms, tomatoes and asparagus. Dalat gains its main income from selling temperate flowers to other cities in Vietnam. Dalat’s Xuan Huong Lake was once a golf course during the colonial period. It has now turned into a public lake for local people. There is a golf course in the pine woods locating nearby which is surrounded by various kinds of flowers. Another important attraction is the pink Catholic Church built in 1966 which its beauty is well retained. On the north of the central market locates the Linh Phuoc Pagoda which is the religious center of Dalat. If you travel a little further, you’ll find another beautiful Protestant Church To visit Dalat, you’ll need at least 3 days and 2 nights because all the attractions mentioned above are just some parts of many beautiful and interesting attractions.

Dalat locates about 300 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh City. By car, take highway number 1. It takes around 5 hours because of the path uphill, and then switch to highway number 11.

Apart from hosting a radio show on “Chill 89” and various TV shows, “DJ Jedi – Setthasitt Limkasidej” is also a traveler. He immediately grabs a suitcase and takes a trip whenever he’s free from work. Let’s find out what makes him so passionate about traveling. “I love backpacking. It’s fun. Just book the accommodation and flight tickets. I once caught a train from Bangkok to Butterworth. I was on the train for 40 hours. It was fun to experience new things. Me and my 3 other friends carried only 30,000 baht with us. I talked to a Malaysian who could speak a little bit of Thai on the train. When we reached I helped him carrying his suitcases. In return, he took us wherever we wanted to go.” When we asked about his dream destinations and future goals, he immediately replies, “In Thailand, I want to go to the islands such as Phuket and Samet. During this period, the accommodation and food are cheap. Besides, there aren’t many tourists. I also want to visit the Grand Canyon in USA and the pyramids in Egypt. I also want to host my own travel show. The show that doesn’t need cars but still be able to get to the destinations somehow.” “Many people might still be afraid of what lies ahead. We only need the courage to go out and explore the world. There’s so much to see out there. In my opinion, even we have a lot of money, but if we don’t experience it ourselves, we will never know.” DJ Jedi ends with an interesting conclusion. Someone once said that “A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving”. It has been proved to us today that this quote is not exaggerated.

More than 100 members of the association attended the workshop, facilitated by Pranome Thavornvej, managing director of the John Robert Powers Institute. Khun Pranome lectured on subjects such as social etiquette, corporate image development, and personality development.
