A section of the third mural on the obelisk in Don't Starve's "Metheus Puzzles". It features a large eye with red irises coming out from the gateway, much like the one seen in the promotional short for the "Terrors Below" update to DST.

Considering this is the same gateway and the same eye as the one in the short, I think this guy is the one that the AFW was worried about when he referred to "Them":

I agree! Especially because both of them are represented by an eye with inverted / contrasting colors.

Also, I see that a few people are calling this eye Metheus, and I'm a bit confused? Wasn't it established that Metheus is the queen who saved the king (The AFW) from being taken over by Them?

Also, I’m guessing the Ancients used to worship Alter, and then they started to worship it’s conterpart.
