  • Broadleaf evergreen ground cover, prostrate, compact, slow-growing, may grow to about 1 ft (0.3 m) high and 6 ft (1.8 m) wide; bark reddish-gray and peeling.  Leaves smaller than the species type, medium to dark green, may turn bronzish in winter.  Flowers white and somewhat pinkish, abundant.  Fruit bright red.
  • Sun or partial shade, reportedly tolerates wet soil better than many other clones, resistant to leaf spot and leaf gall disorders.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 2  Very cold hardy.  Developed by Robert Ticknor, Oregon State University, from seed collected in Massachusetts.  A popular selection.
