Abstract

Urethrectomy is a surgical technique most commonly utilized for urethral involvement with tumor, pathology demonstrating prostatic stromal invasion, urethral tumor recurrence following radical cystoprostatectomy, and positive distal urethral margin on cystoprostatectomy specimen. It involves a meticulous dissection of both the distal and proximal urethra, the technique of which is described in this chapter.
