Dahlia is another bar in the Park Street scene. It usually is closed except on weekends and special events. They were open earlier for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. It's not really bad unlike many of the other bars. The crowd was less douchy than Brothers, or Gaswerks, ugh.
It used to be known as several other previous bars. It was pretty good when it was Garage Bar, and it has some similarities. There's a lot of open space. It can fit a large crowd in and not be extremely cramped. The drink prices depend on what you get and when. It's $5 for a Jameson, which is comparable to the other bars. The service was good for how busy it was.
It's just one of many bars in the Arena District. It's better than many of these. The inside is nice and there's another bar and patio.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2019
For being the only club scene type joint in the Area District, it fulfills a need and I can appreciate that. While it's nothing fancy, it does provide fun music and a good dance floor, perfect for getting your boogie on. There's often a $10 cover but they take cards, which is refreshing. I can't stand when its cash only for a cover.
The drink prices are pretty on par with the rest of the bars in the neighborhood and it's walking distance to a variety of different spots. I've also never had to wait in a line to get in, even when it's a packed house after walking through the doors. Perks of not being in an enormous city I suppose.
The restrooms are nothing to write home about and they have a nice little patio. It's heated during the winter which is a bonus. I've been a number of times and while I'm often several drinks in and dancing my tail off, it's a good time. Can't comment on the food here but I would probably never even consider coming to dine. The dance floor is where it's at.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Kaz K.San Francisco, CA796719Aug 4, 2018Updated review
Dahlia....where you pay $20 for the VIPs (there was more than one instance) to spray champagne all over you (because according to one of the bouncers, they're a friend of the owner). Don't stand by the front of the venue AT ALL. You're safest if you stand no closer than the midpoint of the crowd where you can't feel the music AT ALL. I spoke with the super helpful non-bartending staff. I told her that I can go to the Omnia in Vegas while not smelling like an alcoholic. She said that's just how it is in Columbus and that I can speak with the GM. I didn't have my panties in a twist, so I left it at that, but you can be sure as hell that I'm not going back.
And $4 for water after I just paid $20 for the cover to get in? That's a complete pile of crap if you think I'm going to go with that. Water should always be free, IF a dollar to cover your tip as a bartender.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 25, 2018Previous review$4 for water after I just paid $20 for the cover to get in? 15 minutes later, I watched a guy get free water....so then I asked for water after him and voila. What do ya know. Avoid the black woman with glasses. - Ashley S.Columbus, OH01Jul 18, 2020
95$ for a bottle of Prosecco that is 10$ retail? That is a straight up scam, and quite trashy.
I'm ashamed I even fell for it. It tasted like a bottle of 10$ Prosecco. I mean if you could have some class and not pick a bottle that you literally get at the very bottom shelf at a corner store. Cupcake? Really... really? For owning multiple restaurants that have an extensive wine list, you think you'd have a little more class. && respect?
&& to top it off, you have your bouncers give some speech about how if you leave your table and are not wearing a mask you will immediately get kicked out. OH--and it's 5$ for a mask but yet the manager there doesn't even wear one...
AND you did not enforce that rule whatsoever.
Never will I return to this place. Unfortunately, there isn't much of a club scene in Columbus. But if you really want to go to a club, go to SeeSaw... they won't scam you. You can get a better bottle of Prosecco AND it's 36$.
I honestly wish I could get my money back but please keep it. Obviously, you need it more.

Horrible security that only belittles you when you have a problem. This randomly crazy girl smashed my friends beer bottle for no reason, on purpose, and glass went everywhere, including in my face and eye - security laughed about it and did nothing about it all, saying it happens all the time - Unacceptable

This is a terrible venue. They book big artists and oversell tickets. Capacity is 350 and there is only room for half that amount. How do you expect to go to a club if you can't dance? Legit packed in there like crayons in a crayon box.

Horrible service. The door attendant let his friends skip the line and gain entry before everyone else who had been patiently waiting in line. A complete joke. Extremely disappointed in the service that was provided. I will never be back here.

My friends and I and intended in seeing one of our favorite DJs Breathe Carolina. Ticket says doors open at 9PM. Went to the door and was turned away saying there was a private party going on and to come back at 10PM. Called Dahlia and the guy I spoke so said doors open at 10:15PM. He wasn't the friendliest. Finally went at 10:15 and the opening DJ was spinning. He was on for over 2 hours and we didn't even get to see Breathe Carolina before we decided to leave at 12:30. The place was trashy with drunk people and too many people to begin with. The owner (I'm assuming) in a suit at the door wasn't very kind when asked about a refund.

Had a great time here Friday night for Darude. It was my first time. Taking away one star because our bottle service girl was hardly ever there. I guess I'm used to not having to make my own drinks in VIP. She was stunning though. I was worried about this place because of the bad reviews about the bouncers. The bouncers here were awesome. Especially our bouncer that kept people from coming into our roped off section. Will absolutely be back.

Interesting venue. Walked right in because there was barely any line. No cover. It's not as big as I thought it was from the pictures. The music though is great in my opinion. Drinks are not the cheapest. Just your average bar. Nothing too special. But definitely more of a place to bring a group of friends to and rent a table
