The people are what makes the difference. Kind , courteous helpful staff . Especially in the Hardware section.

Independent grocer where produce is really fresh.
But butcher area employees won't cut anything for you even if you offer to pay. Trying to figure out why they call themselves butchers. Hmmmmm.
When they have a sale though it is worth the drive to stock up on meats. Their chicken prices are good too.
Their produce is fresh and plentiful.

Gas on the worst weather night, 60mph winds, raining. They turn off the credit card machines and make you go inside- that's what their employees said. No credit cards during the rain. REALLY???????????

Overpriced, the bread from the bakery was stale and tasteless. Produce was half way decent but that's it. It's ok if you need to pick up something quick and can't go to giant. I won't go back. Oh and the hardware store inside of Hockers, the man waiting on me didn't know anymore about light bulbs than I do. Go figure!

A delightful independent grocery. It is large and clean and offers everything we need for a week at the beach.

It's a good store with local produce. In fact, their produce is one of the reasons I keep coming back...much better than Giant and for those who shop at Target or Walmart for convenience, this is definitely a step up. It's clean and the folks are friendly. I've been going here for over two years, so maybe the bad reviews were from long ago? I mean, it's a grocery store, not a restaurant :).

I wanted to pick up some potting soil but didn't want to trek to the Millsboro Lowes. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about. I went early in the morning on a Saturday. I picked up two bags decided to self-checkout. The cashier saw me struggling to find the barcode. She came over and used her scanner wand to ring me up on the admin computer. The staff was super helpful will deff be coming back again for future needs.

One of the oldest business but for sure if you buy produce are mostly local.what ever you need "Hocker's have" One of the best general store,and still serving hand churn ice cream.i love this place for their fresh products and because are very constante.

I'm not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from. It's a small family owned store. It's in an older building. The corn is the best ever in season. They bring it in every day. You can see them.
Great little butcher area with the best chicken ever. And cold cuts are great. Roasted turkey is the real thing. And yes it'll go bad if you don't eat it in a couple days. Probably not a lot of preservatives.
Fresh bread and cakes and cookies too.
Might not have everything you need. Small store. But also has the hardware section in case you need something there.
I moved here from the Philly area so I'm familiar with a large variety of chain stores. I'll go to Giant for a huge shopping list. But for meats and bread and corn or cold cuts, this is the place.

Ewwww. Don't even think about going here - the produce is yuck - the fresh corn was horrible and glad you could husk it before buying - ended up getting a few things but will never return - employees were awful bad attitudes - my bag of charcoal ended up in the previous persons order and when i said something the bagger said well he paid for it instead of running after that poor guy or better still offer to go get me a new bag - no I had to do that - it's crazy old rundown grocery with a hardware store included - should be torn down - I'm disappointed wanted to shop local but there is nothing super at this center
