Recommended by the rent a car staff, recommended by the bus driver. A little out of the way for us but two recs and we were tempted to drive.
Excellent selection upon arrival Tasty flavors and the spicy ones had a good kick. Fresh poke at a better price than most.
Beer ~ pretty impressed with the import selection. Belgians, Asian, even U.S. favorites. A lot of sake low to high end.
No in-house dining area is the only bummer.
Friendly service by all the staff.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 16, 2024
We just went here for their tasty poke since we were staying in the area. I think their poke is fresher and of higher quality than Foodland (really the gold standard at this point). But Foodland probably has them on flavor...
But a nice option when you wanna try soemthing different...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 16159291Mar 30, 2024
Decided to pick up some poke to eat on the beach. This was a great spot for poke. They have a few different poke flavors. They also offer poke bowls & you can add Kalua pig. Poke tastes amazing & the Kalua surprisingly also tasted amazing.

Best poke in Maui and at a good price. Big portions. Their liquor collection is also very impressive. Dropped by based on a recommendation from our hotel and no regrets. Don't be fooled by the store. It's great.

Was recommended Tamura's Poke by a waiter in Kaanapali. While exploring the south beaches (Wailea, Makena & Kihei), we decided to give it a try. The Ahi was very fresh and the serving was large. We took our poke and a couple beers we purchased down the street to the beach and enjoyed our lunch while relaxing in the sun and sand. Great stop for some fresh local poke while in Kihei.

Literally the best thing we ate in Maui. I had to go twice within the three days we spent on the island. The service was quick, the fish was so fresh and the ahi just literally melted in my mouth. Who knew the most memorable meal from my vacation would be from a liquor store! 10/10 recommend!

Great local place to not only get fresh poke, but also wine and other odds and ends....

I would give this 3.5/5 stars.
It's located on the left end of the store like a little deli.
I got the poke bowl which comes with 2 scoops of poke--it came out to about $15. I got the Tamura's special and hot shoyu, all the poke tuna. The flavors weren't distinct, as I couldn't tell the difference between the options I chose since they also looked pretty similar. The hot shoyu wasn't even hot and I don't think it had any kick. The fish was too mushy for my liking but it didn't have a bad or fishy taste. The pieces were cut into pretty good cubes too.
Overall, not a bad place but I've had better poke before and had high expectations because of the yelp reviews.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 20, 2023
Don't be alarmed by the typical liquor store presentation!!
Yummmmmm! Melts in your mouth. I had no idea a liquor store would have some of the best poke I've ever tasted! I heard of this place from a local and immediately mapped myself to it. Boy they were right to recommend this. Everything we tried was amazing. The poke literally melts in your mouth and you just have an explosion of flavor. The folks that work behind the counter are very helpful in recommending what's popular!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
