About Iranian art works(moarragh)
Moarragh (similar to abaculus,
Abaciscus) is a branch of art created from arranging small parts of different materials besides each other. Different types
of Morarragh exist, e.g., Moarragh of tile, leather, wood, etc. Our work is related to Wood Moarragh. Design instructions:
First, provide a piece of wood with proper length and width. Its thickness may be about 15 mm. Other parts are mounted on
it. This could be the surface of a table or buffet. Small parts of some trees, like walnut, boxtree, orrange, sour orrange,
are used. These are called to be self-color. The thickness of the particles are about 3-4 mm. They are cut into different
shapes and attached to the plate. The holes between the particles are filled by polyester. Later, the particles are rubbed
to have an equisurface. No painting or artificial colors are used. All colors are natural. All lines are created by cutting
the wood.
About this artwork
"The Tiger" is a distinctive work of the artist in which he introduced the embossment
of Inlays. The 3D effect of the work has provided the natural dignity that a tiger carries. Among all, perhaps the most interesting
part of this artwork is the eyes, which has made the "Tiger" look alive.
The brown background of the work is made of
an artistic mixture of dyed polyester, called "wind & cloud". This technique is used to enhance the work with a dreamy
atmosphere, while brightening the main subject.
Like all other masterpieces, the "Tiger" is unique. The very nature
of creating masterpieces will in no way allow exact reproduction of the work, even for the artist himself.
