BEAR DOWN FOR LIFE

Branding and design created for the University of Arizona A-Club Letterwinners.

MEANING BEHIND BEAR DOWN FOR LIFE

The slogan for the University of Arizona is “Bear Down" which came from John Button Salmon, student body president in the 1920’s. Since then, students and alumni have used this motto to show the importance of hard work and grit while pursuing their dreams. The reason that the A-Club, a group of previous athletes, coaches, and managers (i.e. Letterwinners), embody “Bear Down for Life" is because even though they no longer compete for the U of A, the Bear Down spirit is with them for life.
