We can't think of a better way to start district play than to have Harlan and Brennan battle each other on Taco Cabana's Thursday Night Lights presented by Gamez Law Firm.

The undefeated Hawks (2-0) and Brennan (1-1) are both in the Top 10 in our TNL poll.

The Hawks beat Laredo Alexander last week 37-14 and opened the season with a 45-20 win over East Central. Quarterback Noah Farris threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Harlan offense against East Central.

QB Cayden Glass threw for 157 yards and three touchdowns and running back Jason Love ran for 154 yards and a score in Brennan's 28-10 win last week over Brandeis.

Both teams are young and super athletic, which makes for an interesting matchup. Not to mention they have two of the best coaches around in Steve Basore and Eddie Salas.

It should be a great game.
