Porvoo International College is upper secondary level VET provider in fields of Business and Social/Health Care. The College is trilingual, offering vocational qualifications in three languages: Finnish, Swedish, and English. Strategically the college aims at developing content and quality of VET in cooperation with working life and other education providers, considerable investments to technical and intellectual capacity in order to utilize digital learning environments. The College also has its own adult education department and good connections to Finnish universities of applied science. In vocational education performance and result index of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, Porvoo International College was evaluated the most effective middle-sized VET provider in Finland and was best in this class in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Around 440 students studying in its basic VET departments.

Adult education unit with around 400 students participating yearly in different vocational and continuing education programmes. There is also own apprenticeship office.

Porvoo International College has long tradition of cooperation with many European and Nordic VET schools and HE institutes (student/staff exchange and co-operation within various NORDPLUS, Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ projects. Through its subsidiary (Porvoo International Services) the college has experience in being the project lead of Central Baltic project “Into  Practice” 2009-2011 (partners from Finland, Estonia, Latvia  and, Sweden) and Finnish-Estonian Interreg project “Vetwork” 2005-2007. These projects have produced experience, materials and new practices to both learners and teachers in vocational education. In addition, digital competencies and school – working life relations have been developed in transnational project activity.
